What the Red Dot Means on a Rated Measure

If you see a red dot next to a measure that’s already been rated in Learning Genie, don’t worry — it’s just a helpful alert!

What it Means:

The red dot appears when new evidence or documentation has been added after the measure was rated.

This is Learning Genie's way of letting you know:
"Hey! There's something new here — you might want to review the rating."

What Should You Do?

  • Click into the observation or measure with the red dot.

  • Review the newly added documentation (photos, text, audio, etc.).

  • If needed, update the rating to reflect the new evidence.

  • Once reviewed (even if you don’t change the rating), the red dot will disappear.

Reminder:

You’re not required to change the rating — the red dot is simply a notification to review and make adjustments if necessary.
