What Is a Training Class in Learning Genie and How to Create One

Training classes in Learning Genie are designed to help staff get hands-on experience with the platform before working with real student data. Each training class includes demo children and is ideal for onboarding or internal practice. Only the Agency Owner has permission to create these classes.

What Is a Training Class?

A Training Class is a simulated classroom environment created for training purposes. When a training class is generated:

• All teachers and staff are added to the class.

• Each teacher receives one demo child.

• Staff can explore and practice using Learning Genie’s key features, such as observations, assessment entries, and family engagement tools—without impacting real student data.

How to Create a Training Class:

To generate a training class, please go to “Admin Settings” > “Manage Sites” and click the “Generate Training Sites/Classes” button.

You may also find the option to generate a training class on the “Manage Staff” main page.

Note: the training class can be activated multiple times when new staff are added.

Then, you can find your training site/class on Learning Genie’s homepage and experience Learning Genie’s main features.
