How to View Chat Messages as an Admin

If you’re unable to send or receive messages using the Two-Way Communication feature, don’t worry—this is expected behavior under certain settings.

Why You Can’t Send or Receive Messages

Agency Owners and Agency Admins cannot access the Two-Way Chat feature when Site Admins are already assigned.
This limitation is designed to prevent message overload, as otherwise you would receive messages from all classrooms across all sites.


 How to View and Download Message History

Step by Step

While you can’t participate in conversations, you can still view and export message records by following these steps:

  1. Log in to your Learning Genie Admin account.

  2. Go to Data Hub > Family Engagement.
  3. Click on the "Two-Way Communication" box.

  4. You’ll now see the message history for your agency (includes all classrooms and children).

  5. To view a specific child’s chat:

    Use the triangle icon on the left panel to expand the classroom and select the child.

  6. To adjust the time frame or export:

    • Use the filters at the top to select a date range.

    • Click the PDF icon to export and download the conversation.
