How to update a child's attendance

The improved Attendance module now lets you update a child’s attendance records to resolve exceptions for missing in or out punches.

Here's how to update a child's attendance:

1. To update a child’s attendance records, go to “Attendance” > "Attendance Review"

2. Click on a classroom, then click the “Update Attendance” button to view children’s attendance data and resolve exceptions as needed.

3. Click on a cell to view the child’s attendance records or resolve exceptions.
  • Unfilled: this means that the child came to school normally, but missed their attendance record on that day.
  • Absent: means the child was set to DL, or in-quarantine, etc., it's a justifiable absence.
  • Needs parent signature: this means the child’s records have been updated, but the child’s parents haven’t confirmed and signed back.

Note: if a child was set to In-quarantine status, his/her attendance data can not be updated.

As soon as you update a child’s attendance records, the updated data and a signature request will automatically be sent to parents on the app on the same day at 5:30 PM.
