How to Submit Your In-Kind Volunteer Activities
We’re excited to use the Learning Genie Parent App to collect In-Kind activities digitally!
This helps us:
- Save paper (and trees!)
- Save time for staff
- Support school funding efforts
Submitting your In-Kind volunteer hours is quick and simple. Just follow the steps below:
Step 1: Open the Learning Genie Parent App
- From the Home Page, tap the “+” (plus) icon in the bottom-right corner of your screen.

Step 2: Tap “In-Kind Report”
- This will open a list of available volunteer activities.

Step 3: Tap the “+ Add” Button
- This lets you begin a new entry.

Step 4: Tap on “Volunteer”
- This option is located at the bottom of your screen.

Step 5: Search and Select an Activity
- You can search by Activity ID or Description.
- Once you find the activity, tap “Select.”

Step 6: Fill Out the Activity Details
- Duration – Choose how long the activity lasted.
- Comments – Optional, but helpful! Add any notes if you wish.
- When you're done, tap “Done.”

Step 7: Submit the Activity
- Tap “Submit” to continue.

Step 8: Sign and Confirm
- Use your finger to sign your name on the screen.
- Tap “Submit” again to finalize your entry.

You’ll now see your activity listed in your history—and you’ve just helped support your child’s school in a meaningful way!
