How to Review and Approve Engagement Items Before They're Sent to Families

Yes! Learning Genie offers an Approval Queue Review feature that lets admins review engagement posts before they are published to families.

This feature is helpful for agencies that want to monitor content created by teachers, assistants, or family service staff before it goes out.


Who Can Use This Feature?

  • Only Agency Owners and Agency Admins can turn on the approval queue for specific users.

  • Site Admins can review and approve/reject posts once the feature is enabled.

  • Teachers, Assistants, and Family Service Staff can be placed under approval review.

  • Admins do not need to be enabled—they already have access.


How to Enable the Approval Queue for Staff

  1. Log in to web.learning-genie.com

  2. Click the gear icon to open Admin Settings.

  3. Click Manage Staff from the left-hand menu.

  4. Find the staff member and locate the Approval Queue Review column.

  5. Toggle the switch to ON.

🔔 Note: The toggle only works for teachers, assistants, and family service staff. If you try to turn it on for an admin, you’ll see a message saying their role does not require this setting.


 How to Approve or Reject Engagement Items

  1. Log in to web.learning-genie.com

  2. Click Engagement from the left-hand menu, then select Approval Queue.

    You can also locate the Approval Queue on the right side of the screen Menu

  3. Expand the site and classroom with pending posts.



  4. Use the checkbox to select a post.

  5. Click on Approve to publish it.


  6. To revise, the system will display a box where you can enter the reason for revision
