How do I unlock a child's record?

While teachers and admins alike can lock children, only administrators can unlock a child’s assessment record. If you need to make edits after locking, follow these quick steps to unlock:

Step-by-Step:

1. Log in to the Learning Genie web portal.
2. Click your avatar in the top-right corner, then select "Admin Settings".
3. In the menu on the lower left-hand side, click "Locked Rating".

4. Find the child you want to unlock.

• Use the checkbox next to their name to select them.

5. Click the "Unlock" button.

 How to Know It Worked

You can see the red unlocked padlock in the Manage Children section under Admin Settings. This helps confirm at a glance which children’s records are currently unlocked.

If the child’s padlock icon changes from:

🟢 Green (Locked)  🔴 Red (Unlocked)
...then the record was successfully unlocked and is now editable!
